How To Help
I have launched a campaign to put that old, creaky slide projector out to pasture. In other words, I want to be delivered from fundraising. It’s exhausting, frustrating and I’m sort of terrible at it. I swear, I sometimes talk people out of giving me money, that’s how bad I am at it.
So please, help me put an end to it. You can make a donation to Touch a Life here.
Sponsor a Child
For $150 a month you can support a child in Ghana. For $50 a month, you can support a child in Vietnam. Ensuring we have enough money every month to keep these children housed, in school and happy is probably my greatest stress. If you are interested in sponsoring a child, and can commit to one full year of support, I will be so grateful to you.
Host a Fundraiser
Email us for a specific project we are planning for and then party-plan your little heart out, using the project you’ve selected as the theme for the fundraiser. Contact us for details!
Sponsor a Child’s Education
A donor can pay for the education fees for a child for one year. It costs $250 per quarter (three and a half months) in the cities. It only costs $50 per quarter in the rural areas.
Help with Transportation in Ghana
Our staff is in serious need of a reliable vehicle. The roads are rugged and rarely paved. We need to purchase a safe vehicle for our staff to use while traveling from program to program. Currently, we pay to rent vehicles, which gets pricey fast. It costs $50-$100 per day, in addition to gas, which costs $5 per gallon.
Pay for a Child’s Internship Experience
All of the children in our Kete Krachi program are participating in vocational training. Specifically, many of them are seeking to break into the recycled bead-making industry. It costs between $350-550 to sponsor a child’s internship experience for one year. This fee pays for their room and board as well as their vocational training.
Buy a Farm Animal
Seriously. We’re implementing farming programs at our establishments in Ghana. We need help paying for the animals we’d like to raise. A chicken costs only $7, while a goat costs $60. A grasscutter (a large rodent whose meat is in high demand in Ghana) is between $30 and $50.
